The AE-1200 "Royale" packs a world-time module into a case that begs for a metal upgrade. The stock 18mm resin is fine; an 18mm NATO, leather strap or full steel case is better. Quality metal cases for the Royale are rare — most on the market are cheap alloy — so ours are screened for machining tolerance before they ever hit the catalog.

Yes — AE-1200WH and AE-1200WHD use standard 18mm lugs. No adapters needed for aftermarket 18mm straps.

Do the metal cases work with the stock bezel?

They replace the resin shell entirely, keeping the original module and world-time layout. Installation is the same five-minute swap as other Casio mods.

NATO or leather for the Royale?
