The square G-Shock is the purist's G-Shock, and its mod scene runs on two upgrades: metal cases (from clean 316L to carved bronze-style) and adapters that open the door to every standard strap ever made. Add a NATO through an adapter set, or go full metal with a matching bracelet. Everything here fits the DW-5600 / GW-5600 / GM-5600 family unless stated otherwise.

Quick answers

Can I put a NATO on a DW-5600?

Not directly — the square uses a proprietary resin mount. Our square adapters convert it to standard spring bars, then any 16–18mm one-piece or two-piece strap fits.

What is the difference between the metal case generations?

Later generations tighten the case-to-band junction and refine the pushers. If you want the cleanest look, pick the newest generation in the collection filter.

Is the metal case heavier than resin?

Expect roughly 60–80g added on the wrist with a full steel case and bracelet — part of the charm for most square modders.
